Hydration

Electrolytes, aminos and carbohydrates

This range covers three kinds of drink. Electrolyte products such as Applied Nutrition Hydration+ and Naughty Boy Hydration come as powders, sticks and effervescent tablets. Amino drinks such as Amino Fuel, BCAA Zero and EAA Zero are flavoured powders to sip during training. Carbohydrate powders such as Carb X and Carbox are aimed at longer sessions.

Formulas differ in how much sodium, potassium and carbohydrate they provide, so compare the nutrition panel on each label. Hydration and Electrolytes: The Practical Guide covers when each type is useful.
