Stimulant or stimulant-free

Pre-workouts fall into two groups. Caffeinated formulas such as Applied Nutrition ABE, Naughty Boy Menace and Skill Pre-Workout come as powders, ready-to-drink cans and shots. Stimulant-free options such as ABE Pump and Pump 3G Zero Stimulant leave the caffeine out, which suits evening sessions.

Caffeine content varies a lot between products, so read the label, start with the smallest suggested serving and don't combine high-caffeine products.
